Moodle is an online Learning Management System (LMS) designed for teaching and learning. Moodle provides a platform for delivering learning sequences which can incorporate a variety of tools such as forums, quizzes and tracking grades as well as resources like documents, images and videos. Moodle allows teachers to provide learning materials to students 24/7 in a safe, password-protected environment.
Needs to be interesting, engaging and interactive
Today we will:
Introduce Moodle - Chan building, web based 24/7, great community support
Look at existing Moodle courses: Indo and Japanese Beginners Stage 1, Geography, Philosophy
Moodle can be used for fully ONLINE or BLENDED course material: a whole course, a term’s work, a unit’s work, extra resources, homework, revision material, links location . . .
Moodle makes Personalised/Individualised learning easy to achieve, students progress at their own pace through resources and activities
Demo – editing on, blocks, eye to hide, pencil to edit add friend to course – admin block/Assign Roles/ Choose Student or Teacher – search, add them!

Have a look through the resources in the ‘Useful Links’ block (top left)
